No health certificates or vaccinations are required for entering the country. General practitioner consultations and laboratory tests are charged fees in Lithuania. The only health risks associated with visiting Lithuania are for those intending to visit forested areas, which are advised to have inoculations against rabies and tick-borne encephalitis. According to the rules, aliens, who are going to visit Lithuania or the applying for a Temporary residence permit, must to hold Health insurance policy. The policy shall guarantee that all basic medical assistance costs and travel expenses which may arise in connection with the return, for the health reasons, of an alien to homeland.
